Like its counterparts in the West, the Chinese government is using the pretext of fighting "Islamic extremism" to expand its repressive powers and gain a geostrategic advantage.
There's no "China virus". Neither China's factory farming nor its authoritarianism set it apart from the rest of the world. China is a vital component of the world capitalist system, both the rival and the collaborator of the West; and it's that system of capitalism that created and spread COVID-19.
