The battlelines on campuses have been drawn. On one side is the enormous institutional support for the military-industrial complex and the highly militarised state of Israel. On the other side is a movement of students and staff desperate to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Israel’s brutal war against Gaza has cost at least 40,000 Palestinian lives. Now, with the assassinations of senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the situation could escalate into a regional war.
